How do I get started?

How do I get started with training?

It’s easy! Simply browse our courses and select the ones you like from our course list. During the ordering process, you will be asked to create your personal student account. If you already have an account, simply log in and choose the courses from the list .

When will my training start?

It depends on the type of training and course you have chosen. At the BMU Institute, we offer 3 types of online courses: asynchronous, synchronous and blended,

Asynchronous courses:

You can start your course as soon as you have made the payment. You will also receive lifetime access to your course. This means you can start the course later, take as many breaks as you like, and even repeat the entire course in the future.

Synchronous courses

Our synchronous courses range from 1 to 6 months of training. For this type of course, the start and end dates are already known, as well as the schedule, tutoring days, group work and internship (if required). There is real interaction with other people. As soon as you have made the payment, you will also receive access to your account and your courses as well as all the necessary material.

How long does a course last?

It depends on the type of training.

For the asynchronous courses, we have packed all the essentials into short and efficient courses. Each course lasts between 1.5 and 3 hours. All of our courses are 100% online, self-paced, and text-based (with lots of pictures, graphs, and charts). No additional reading material is required.

For synchronous courses, they range from 1 to 6 months of training. For this type of course, the start and end dates are already known, as well as the schedule, tutoring days, group work and internship (if required).

What are the training requirements?

All our courses are designed for students and non-students. Therefore, you need neither prior knowledge nor a formal application to get started. All you need is a web browser, an Internet connection and some motivation!

Can I take the courses from home or do I have to come to the training site?

You can take the courses from home, as our continuing education courses are entirely digital. All you need is a computer/tablet/phone and internet access.

Cost and payment

How much does a course cost?

With our current quality prices, our asynchronous online courses cost between 5 and 15 euros.

Synchronous courses cost between 180 and 1000 euros, depending on the topic and duration of the course.

These costs include the course content and your personal certificate. There are no additional fees. You can find all prices here.

How can I pay?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, etc.), major debit cards and PayPal for your payment. If you live in Africa, we also accept Orange and MTN Money.

Unfortunately, we do not accept manual bank transfers. If you are using someone else’s credit card (for example, a family member or close friend), make sure that person approves your payment.

When do I have to pay?

All our courses must be paid in advance. You can start studying immediately after making the payment.

Can I pay in installments?

Yes, it is possible to pay in installments, but only for synchronous courses, as they last more than one month. You should contact the support team, discuss this with them and they will look into this possibility.

Why do my payments fail?

There are several reasons why a payment may fail. Here are some sources of error and solutions:

  • Check your credit card details for errors
  • Make sure there is enough money in your account
  • Use PayPal as an alternative payment
  • Use another credit card

Course/Mentorship Certificates and Training Programs

Do I receive a recognized certificate after the training?

After each successful course you will receive a certificate – either from the BMU Institute or from one of our partners. This way, you can not only prove your professional skills, but also document soft skills such as determination and commitment – which employers really appreciate.

How do I get a course or training certificate?

To obtain your personal course certificate, you must take an online course and complete a short quiz. All our course tests are multiple choice. Don’t worry, you can take the test several times for free. There is also no time limit for taking the course or completing the questionnaire.

For longer courses with a practicum requirement, you will receive your certificate after completing the quizzes for each module and submitting the practicum completion certificate.

You will receive your certificate as a digital file (pdf). We do not send hard copies.

What is the value of my certificate?

BMU Institute holds its distance learning programs to the same high standards as traditional educational institutions. Our certificates are therefore recognized and accepted by employers around the world. Please note that we do not issue academic degrees or diplomas. However, most organizations recognize BMU Institute certificates as valid professional certificates. Don’t forget to add your achievements to your resume and LinkedIn profile! You can find more information on adding your certificates to your LinkedIn profile here.

Where can I find my certificate(s)?

You can easily find and download your certificates by simply logging in and navigating to “My Account > My Certificates”.

BMU Institute is registered in Germany and therefore in Europe, we are guided by the German legal system and the European Union (EU) framework for continuing education. The European Commission’s (EC) Digital Education Action Plan reinforces digital certificates and to protect the environment and pollution, we support the idea of replacing paper documents with more modern alternatives. As a result, you will receive all of your certificates as digital files (pdf), allowing you to easily store and share your qualifications. We do not send hard copies. If you need a hard copy of your certificate, we recommend printing it with a high quality electro-photographic printer. Both documents – the digital certificate and your personal impression – are valid.

Employers and educational institutions can always verify our certificates with the identification code on each certificate.

Order or account error

I can't pay or place an order

Please use a credit card or PayPal for your payment. If you live in Africa, please use Orange or MTN Money. There are several reasons why a payment may fail. Here are some sources of error and solutions:

  • Check your credit card details for errors
  • Make sure there is enough money in your account
  • Use PayPal as an alternative payment
  • Use another credit card
I can't start the course I bought

Please proceed as follows:

Log in and check if the course appears in your “My Courses” section. If it is not there, check that you did not use a different email address during the ordering process.

Check your mailbox to see if you have received the order confirmation email from the BMU Institute. If you did not receive it, please check that you did not use another email address during the ordering process.

Check with your bank to see if the money has been deducted from your account.

If your order has been accepted and you are unable to access the course, send an email to hello@bringme-up.com with your name and order ID.

I made a mistake in my order

If you have accidentally purchased a course twice or have purchased the wrong course, please email hello@bringme-up.com and describe your problem. We will be happy to help you!

I need to change my name, email address or password.

If you have forgotten your user password, please click here to reset it. Note: If you can’t find the email, check your junk mail folder.

If you need to change your name or email address, simply log in and navigate to “My Account > Settings”.
